Article 38o MiFIRDelegation of tasks by ESMA to competent authorities
ESMA may delegate specific supervisory tasks over data reporting services providers, such as information requests, investigations and on-site inspections, to national competent authorities after consulting them, reimbursing their costs; delegation can be revoked at any time and does not affect ESMA's responsibility.
